No, this isn’t intended to be a #ThrowbackThursday type of post (all that stuff is here, by the way), but this is a bit of a follow-up to a #TBT post I did last week. In that post, I showed off a casual white shirt along with a cute black hat and leather/vinyl gloves, part of a photo shoot I did in 2010. Well, way back on Memorial Day weekend, I pulled those things out of the closet and put them back on. This time around, I also brought out my trusty pair of jeans and a silky polyester black tank top.
I have a tendency to call this tank top a camisole, though its shoulder straps are much thicker than that found on a camisole, not to mention the fact that the neck line plunges down past the breast area.
Speaking of the breast area, note that bright hook keeping the breast area together. First of all, and you probably can’t tell from these photos, but that hook is bejeweled. It’s two metal (well, metal-looking plastic) hooks fused together and decorated in little jewel bits, topped off by seven jewel studs in the middle. Well, okay, it’s more cubic zirconia than real jewels, but it’s still an attention-getter, breaking up the all-black monotony in addition to keeping the breast area together.
Note, too, that I’ve paired the tank top with blue jeans. To me, there’s something alluring about the combination of glamor and casual, which this pairing displays. Add, too, the sophistication/edginess of the gloves, the playfulness of the hat, and the comfort of the shirt (as displayed below), and it gives the wearer so many personalities all at once. Don’t call that a train wreck; better to call it so many attitudes all at once.
Feel free to check out the other pics from my Memorial Day session on my 2015 set on Flickr, and let me know what you think. Thanks! 🙂
